mass air housing ported affects?

i got a mass air housing with a some other parts i bought, its been ported and the screen been removed would this make my car run lean and make it pop out the intake cause it does thats sometimes or will i see gains from it because of more air flow i got stock tb and injectors but i have a 65mm tb thats going on in the next few days

i picked up a used 73mm dirt cheap on ebay. you can try that one if you want but i wouldn't put it on my car. up to you.

I ran a ported stock mass air back in the ay -- never saw any bad effects come from it. There was a time when you didn't really have a choice!

it will run lean unless the sampling tube was port to the correct size too. id ditch it and get one off a later mustang (4.6) and use it.

what is a sampling tube and why get one off a 4.6 will it work on 5.0

Same here. I would have it ported until it just wore through the sides and left a few holes, then I would just tape up the inside and fill the holes with JB Weld and let it dry then take the tape off.
Worked fine for the time.
Back in 94 I built an 89 GT that had stock ported heads with an E-cam,stock ported mass air, stock injectors, GT-40 intake. Ran 12.49 @ 109.20 weighed 3550 with driver.

70mm maf for cheap verses the stock 55mm? MAF.

The meters are calibrated different and will not read properly.
