Matched Injectors

Ford has "new" matched injectors that cost about $80-100 more than the regular injectors. What is the advantage to having matched injectors?

My guess is they make sure the injectors flow the same amount of fuel, or as close as possible??? Never heard that term before, but thats my guess.

I've heard the term used a lot, and I'm not sure of the exact idea, but I believe it is just matching the flow so they are all exactly the same like stated above. I sent the injectors on my bike out to be cleaned and matched and it runs a lot better now, but I doubt them being matched had anything to do with that. I'm not sure if there is an actual performance gain to be had doing this.

I figured maybe it was better for tuners...
