Hey guys, new to the forums. Enjoy reading all your posts, seem like a great bunch of people. Need you opinion, hope you guys can help. So here's the story.
I was walking with a friend in school talking about my car, and all of a sudden this kid just interferes and says that my car sucks...this and that...I cant do a burnout...crap V6. I was like kid who are you, o yeah thats right you drive a minivan. And he goes no, i got a k-5 now. So we go outside, and i see this big ugly 1980's Chevy Blazer k-5. Its got a 5.7L V8 with exhaust done. Now i've heard stories of other V6 guys getting beat by f350's and other trucks. Would i be able to take him? I got a 2001 V6, 5 speed, with MAC catback exhaust.

it came to $4.56 and i got $0.44 change from a 5,

Screet racing is illegal, now is it fuel injected or carburated? Manual or Auto, i would say he prolly don't got enough traction and if so you could still take him, probably....

I prolly wouldnt end up racing him, and if i do it definetly wont be on the streets. Safety first..right?? The Chevy is an automatic and i believe its carburated.
Yeah and the kid, according to others, has been talking **** about me and my car. Thats the first time i met him. He better cut it out.

1980's carb lol
5.7 or not, that thing is probably near the brink of death hahah.
we dont have fast cars, but i highly doubt that boat can pull even a 16 second pass.

if he thinks guys with v6 mustangs are gayness, think of how rediculous he looks driving his old rustbucket around and talking smack to other vehicles that look better, worth more, and are faster.

even the fuel injected models of the earlier years had onle 210hp with 300tq. that is similar to a 94 5.0L mustang, which on average pulls a low 15.
(enough to beat your car by a bit.)

94 5.0L mustang = 3600lbs
80's Blazer = 4700-4800lbs

so considering this truck weighs 1000 lbs more than a low 15 second car, I think you can draw your own conclusion.

I don't know about the Chevy, but I had a carburated, auto, 81 F-150 Ranger (short bed) with a 351 5.8l in it, before I got my 97 Mustang, and I know my Mustang would've beat it. Hope that helps.

those blazer for 1 are like a sail in the wind. it has no aero dynamics at all and 2 heavy. he is just downing the car cuz he never ridden or driven one. i was like that before cuz they are v6's and should be v8 like the big ones but now i own a 95 5 spd v6 and i know they are pretty cool. but i also do know that a 92 25th anniversary 5 speed 3.1 camaro will beat the single port mustangs manual or not. we were at the track and my friend raced the v6 stangs like 6 times each and beat them every time. he also raced a camaro just like his except it was a 305 v8 and auto and beat him 2 times.but who cares the stangs a cooler

j/w whats so special about the 3.1 camaro? that doesnt make alot of sense to me, but maybe if you could explain why its fast then maybe i would understand. as far as i know we should be able to put up a good fight against pre 93 camaros (v8 or not).
