i'm having to re purchase my mechanical water/oil gauges so they all match i have always worried about my nylon oil line and the chance of it chafing/burning by the headers.

i want to do this right, is this stainless kit the best option? i kinda want to steer away from the copper at the chance of bending it. plus braided line looks cool..

here is what i'm looking at; QuickCar 61-71060 - QuickCar Gauge Lines - Overview - SummitRacing.com

any suggestions if not that kit? 5 ft is the longest kit, i think it will reach. i'm going from my center vent to the t-fitting at my block.

im going to do the same but was told where the oil gauge comes from to make a piece that goes in to stop all the oil from coming out if the line breaks.
if u are doing it for the track u cant have fuel coming into the car.

i put mine set up under my hood part.

I like that restrictor idea. I currently removed my OP gauge because i was running nylon for 2-3 years and didn't want to push my luck.

Stainless is expensive. I think i've seen some autometer kits that were 4 foot and 6 feet in lenght. I am using the 4 foot line for my cowl mounted FP gauge.

I might use the restrictor setup with copper line. Depends on how easily i can run the copper line without kinks. Stainless line just seems too big to get through the same hole i am using for my mech water temp, some wiring and a boost gauge vac line

i ended up paying more $$ and got the autometer brand stainless kit in 6 ft of length. too long, but it was either 4 or 6. i didn't want to end up short.

summit wouldn't match another vendor i found, so i used them and all the crap shipped out today. it should be worth the piece of mind.

i've got a hole in my firewall where my oil line and water temp wiring run. i think something else goes through too. regardless, if it's not big enough, my dremel will make it big enough.

Same here... through the Speedo cable hole.
