I also have had a tinny rattle coming from underneith the front half of my 03 GT for the past two years since I've owned it. It sounds likes a loose tin shield rattleing......maybe something on the transmission. I will hear the rattling noise every so often in between 2400-2600rpms while accelerating or decelerating. I was hoping to get rid of the noise when i went to an offroad xpipe, but its still there so it wasnt a heat sheild. Im going to put my car on lift next year and try to determine what is rattling. Ill let you know if I figure it out....hopefully you'll be able to figure out your before i do next year.

Are you sure you don't have the rattling noise while revving???

Seems like a very common problem. I wonder what it is cuz it pisses me off. I have to turn my system up to block it out

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM GUYS......2400-2600 RPM UNLESS I WAS AT WOT......IF I KEPT IT THERE IN 2ND 3RD OR 4TH IT WOULD MAKE THE RATTLE/KNOCKING NOISE.......

MINE IS UNDER WARRANTY SO I TOOK IT TO THE STEALERSHIP AND AFTER A DAY OF LOOKIN AND LISTENIN TO IT THEY TRACKED IT BACK TO THE THROTTLE CABLE HITTING THE FIREWALL AND MAKING THE NOISE.............

THEY READJUSTED A COUPLE THINGS AND MAGICALLY THE NOISE IS NOW GONE..........TRY IT OUT AS IT SEEMS TO BE A PRETTY CHEAP EASY FIX

Is the vibration RPM dependent or MPH dependent??

You are saying 2000RPM, but is this in all gears or just one gear? If it's one gear, what MPH does this vibration occur?

If it's MPH dependant, i'd look at your tires. I once grazed a curb with my front pass wheel and put a little scuff in the lip. Didn't look like much. A couple weeks later i hit the highway and hit 75MPH and had a slight vibration. I rotated my front tires to the rear and it went away. Ended up getting that one wheel rebalanced. I wish i had a pic because the damage is very slight but it made a hige difference

Mine is at the same RPM in each gear, altho it comes on earlier in 1st gear sometimes. It lasts for quite a while and it makes a worse noise when I slightly let off the gas pedal; but don't let it completely out. I can't hear it while i'm not moving, but it sure is noticeable inside the car while i'm driving.. I can hear it echoing off the buildings when i'm driving thru a narrow street with a bunch of tall buildings on both sides.

A buddy of mine looked at it and said it sounded like my exhaust might be loose somewhere, but I haven't had the time to check it.. But other than that, he really wasn't sure

Well the throttle cable is defintely out. It was warm enough today 40 and raining to check the car out again. I still have no idea what it is.

Does it vibrate at the same RPM in every gear??

Or does it only do it at a certain MPH??

same rattle in every gear at 2000rpms. The noise only lasts for like 1 second unless i try to hold it at 2000 rpms then it is like 2 seconds. Only in drive.
