MGW handle with Tri-Ax shifter?

I just put in a Steeda Tri-Ax and I wanted to use the MGW handle that I've had on the car since it was new, but it wouldn't fit. The holes wouldn't line up. They were off by a fraction of an inch.
Has anyone else ever tried this combo and had it work?

I REALLY love my MGW handle & I'd hate to not be able to use it.

Apparently it won't work with aftermarket shifters. Even the "knock-off" UPR version states it fits the "Steeda, Pro-5.0, Kirban, B&M, Hurst and every other shifter made for a T-5, T-45, T-56." Notice it doesn't say anything about the TR-3650.
Sorry dude...

Actually it works just fine.

The problem was with the Steeda shifter. I contacted both Steeda and MGW and they said it SHOULD fit. I tried moving the Steeda handle up to the top holes and it was just as tight so the very top (of the 3 holes) was drilled just a little off.

I now have the Steeda Tri-Ax shifter but with my more comfortable MGW handle and I love it that way.
