Tremec FAQs said:The major problem with aftermarket shifters is that they have stops on them. To install them correctly, you will have to remove the stops completely. Our transmissions are built with internal stops.
I've driven a 98 GT with a Tri-ax and my MGW has a much more solid feel to it. In a couple weeks, the MGW loosens up, and it's a good feeling the first time you hit that 3-4 shift in under a half second.bluextc said:Well, I did some driving today and liked it, though I'm still getting used to it. Thanks, I'll try that todayGDawg said:It's going to be a bit "stiffer" than you're used to. That's cause now you can "man handle" it and slam it into gears (2 - 3) without worrying about grinding. It will build your arm muscle up but know that it's a great short throw shifter.
As far as reverse, release the parking brake and almost let her coast a bit (clutch in, no brake pedal) to let her find reverse. Only a bit, you'll find what works for you.

RoadconeTuning said:i think they are full of it because my friend has taken multiple TR-3650's and T45s apart and he said there arent any stops inside the trans. as long as you adjust the stops on the shifter correctly then yo should have zero problems...
