As for the shifter ball? Find a bolt that the knob will thread onto and cut about 1/2" off and put a slot in one side. Screw it inside the knob and use it to adjust the position of the knob. Will take some experimenting but it will help you tighten the knob up in the correct spot and not thread down far enough to screw up the leather boot.

After you deal with those issues, the shifter is great, i love mine

I don't really understand what you mean.....can you explain a little better please....I kinda know what ya mean but not really lol

He means you can use a short nut to adjust the shift handle correctly. Get a half size nut. Thread it down to the bottom of the threaded part of the shifter. Put whatever handle you want on and align it whichever direction suites you and use the nut on the bottom to create the tension to lock it in place.

No no, hes saying to find a bolt that threads into the stock shifter handle. Then cut off about a 1/4" of the threads then grind a slot in the end of the bolt piece you cut so you can screw the piece down in the handle with a screwdriver. Thats what the ground slot is for, a flat head screwdriver. Then you can adjust its position in the shift handle until it tightens up in the correct spot.

Now that makes sence lol

Anyway's the shifter has either worked in or I just got used to it...I LOVE this shifter. Makes My Dad's DD (98 Neon) shifter feel like a fisher price toy lol.
