As I understand it, in mid 2001 Ford ran out of and/or upgraded a few things on the GT's. Some of the parts include: waterpump/pulley, TR3650 Transmission with O/D, etc. Does anyone know the full list of parts this included? My production date is March 2001. I have ran into problems ordering parts from the Ford dealer and aftermarket companies. My local Ford dealer in Atlanta, GA doesn't seem to believe me on this one! I almost always seem to get the wrong parts and have to re-order them. Any help is appreciated!!!!

the only "major" differences you already know of, the trans and the water pump and i'm guessing yours has the later stuff since March is pretty far into 2001 production

what parts have you ordered that were wrong?

I'd be more inclined to believe that you have an earlier model, with the T-45 transmission. I had a 2001, and it was May/01, and it had early stuff on it. You can get a guaranteed answer by looking at the transmission code on your driver's door id tag. One letter will be for the T-45, and the other will be for the T-3650, with the T-45 being the earlier stuff.

I think most of the early cars also had Windsor heads, whereas the later cars mostly had Romeo heads. Plastic intake/thermostats that fail. Overhead cam configuration is different as well.

99-00 had Windsor engines, before and after (including 'o1) were Romeos

one had a bolt on style cam gear (windsor i think) the other was pressed on if that's what you meant by different overhead can configuration

Check your driver's door for a sticker and look under "TR" for a "K". If you have a "K" then you have the 3650 Transmission. That means you have the later version of everything for 01.

I would say March 2001 is the late TR3650. According to the computer at work, the production date spliting the parts it askes before 2/21/01, or after 2/21/01. The water pump and pulley changed as well.
