H-pipes are the classic, loud mustang sound while x-pipes are high pitched and more of a nascar sound and still loud while prochambers are the less quiet of the two but are supposed to give you the most power? And prochambers sound like a mixture of a x and h pipe?

Let me know if this is right.

Thanks

That's basically how I understand it to be.

That being said, I'd go with the H-pipe just for the sound. I guess it's your decision which sound you like and whether or not you want to sacrifice HP for that sound.

H pipe makes alot of noise right off idle and will have more drone depending on the setup. My X pipe is quite under 3K (relatively speaking) unless you are @ WOT.

I'm planning to get Cutouts before the X pipe so I can have the best of both.

I personally feel the x-pipe sounds the best. It absolutely screams in the last half of the rpm scale and sounds "dirty" in the lower half to my ears. I think the higher pitched characteristics of it would highlight a lopy idle better as well. Anyone with a nasty cam can chime in. Of the three, I feel the pro-chamber is the mildest and least aggressive sounding.

Had the H and hated it...backfiring, popping on winding it down...and it was loud...
swapped to the Prochamber with LTs and Spintechs...i love it...BUT...i'm really thinking of grabbing an Dr Gas X set-up to try...
Anybody got an X that will bolt up to Mac LTs???

I got stock headers,pro-chamber, and borla XR-1's turndown. I had the flowtech H-pipe it stunk bad. The pro-chamber is mean but the borlas kill the sound unless over 3k @ WOT, then the deep mean growl is ahhhh so nice. Would rather get bassani LT's and X. O.T. which Spintechs are you running I herd they mean.

So you got the sportsmans? I might be getting the same setup....how does it compare to this h-pipe with sportsmans?

http://www3.igalaxy.net/~bildo/Spintech01.wmv

Im lost on which to buy. That guy is telling me to get a h-pipe like him, others say x-pipe, and im thinking prochamber for the inbetween sound. The one thing i do know is that i want it to scream when at WOT.

I wish someone had a clip of the sportsmans with a x-pipe and a prochamber....lol but that would be a perfect world.

Really?! Well whatever i get, it wont have cats! Thats for sure. I thought the prochamber was the "tamer" of the 3. Does the prochamber scream at WOT like people say x-pipes do?

I've read the same thing on here that the pro-chamber was the quietest but made the most hp through out the power range.

An X makes the car sound very refined. H pipes give the car a old school muscle sound. Just depends on what you like. My Borlas and Bassani X-pipe sound great I think. Its loud but not too loud. It has a very deep roar at WOT.

I hate prochambers...want one? hehe o/r for lt's. Pm
My o/r h has a much better seat of the pants feel and i just like the way they sound better. I wouldnt buy my prochamber again even though they do tend to make more power on dynos. I dunno i'd rather have my car sound good and feel good than be good. Call me a ricer

It just didnt have the "growl" i was looking for. I thought it sounded hollow and "punny" sounding. I had my parents get it for me for christmas a few years ago because i read so many great things about it in magizines/stangnet/corral, but i just didnt like it. Even if the numbers are good.

Did it sound like most x-pipes? You are the first to turn down the prochamber. How did it fit atleast?
