Here's the run-down on a pretty flawless day of wrenching.
Started out this morning rented the hoist, removed the starter, disconnected the tranny and motor mounts, pulled the old 351.
Installed my oil pan on the new motor, brass freeze plugs, driver’s side exhaust manifold and torqued down the heads.
Then I installed the new motor, connected the motor mounts, exhaust, transmission and my new export brace.
I was amazed at how easily you can pull apart a motor-mount (see pic) it was unbolted and it still snapped. Good thing I replaced them with new ones!
