well, today i removed my front swaybar (steeda) and replaced it with my stock one... this has been suggested by tom for a while since i went with my PHB and was noticing a good bit of understeer.
well, i have the stock front bar on now, and the steeda rear bar still atached. well... i now have a good bit over oversteer. it seems that with the rear swaybar and now the stock front i shot over the neutral area and went from one end to the other... it was only light understeer before and i could control it with countersteering and using inertia to alter my course going into a corner... now however the back end comes out easy, and i can use the steering and power to place the back end where i need it to be... however to go into the corners i now am FORCED to drift through it to keep the speed up... if i keep all corners on the ground i lose a lot of speed.
overall i have definatly lost speed in the corners by going to the stock front bar. however this is where my questions begin. i will be getting the EvM trilink in the next 2-3 months, and they say you need to increase the spring/wheel rate in the rear once you go 3 link (be it tri or TA) as you seemingly increase understeer..... do you think i should leave my spring rate as it once going trilink and see if i neutral out... or think i will be way overboard on understeer without going to a higher spring rate?
another reason i went to the stock front swaybar is that i will be going C/O on all 4 corners a bit after my trilink and was thinking of going to a fairly high wheel rate in the front to eliminate the need for a stronger swaybar... or am i worng here.... closer to the end i will be going to the MM adjustable swaybar so i can dial in the correct front to rear balance.... but until then... what do you guys think?
