I have figured out what wheel combo I am gonna run. I am running 05+ Bullit wheels on the rear 17X9 +45mm offset. (2001 rear axle complete)

I am running 99-04 Bullit wheels on the front 17X8 +30mm offset. (96+ spindles)

Now I know what you guys are thinking...."They look slightly different."

Well, I just got off the phone with American Muscle. They said if I buy the 05+ wheels and the 99-04 wheels in that combo, that they will match because they are not factory, they are replicas, and they made them all the same for cheaper production!!! YEAH!!!!!

That is all!!

P.S. 1 year warranty!

But which style spoke are they??

The 01-04 bullitts and 05+ bullitts look totally different. The spokes are shaped differently. I think the 05+ style is ugly, but i want to do the exact same thing you just did and get S197 wheels for the rear. I want FR500's however.

But for the bullitts, are they all going to match the 01-04 style bullitt or they going to match the 05+ bullitt wheel?

I'd be pissed if i was an '05+ owner and ordered some 17x9's for the rear and they came looking like the older style bullitt wheel.

But anyway it doesn't matter to me really. I just want to know if they fit!! So keep us informed

From the pictures, they all look like the early 99-04 Bullits. He had me on hold for a while asking another tech. He came back and said they all look the same, which I assume 99-04. (I now remember he didin't say one specific year.)

Anyways, look in my other thread I made. It is titled "Project 81 Hack Job--Quick Wheel Update. Look at all my pics and comments. If I put 17X9, 05+ wheels on the rear, my wheel will sit even with the quarter again, not 7/8" outward like my 17X9 Cobra R (24mm offset) wheels do. (that is with the 2001 axle though.) (I think with a 94-98 axle those Cobra R's will only stick out 1/8" past the quarter. So 05+ wheels will sit in the well with 94-98 axles.)

I think my mind is made up with the American Muscle 05+ bullits. I thought of Pony R's, but I don't want the possiblilty of center caps getting stolen, and I don't know of the quality. AM has a 1 year warranty.

Just looked at 50resto. They don't have Replica 17's for the 05+Bullits. They have replica 18's for 05+ Bullits. They only have factory 17" 05+ wheels.

Looks like A.M. is the place I need to go to get 17" rear 05+ Bullits.
