Motor Mounts:: Solid vs Poly

I building a Street Show-n-Go fox body convertible.

It will not be the primary form of transportation...consider it a Bar/Burger joint hopper for lack of a better description.

Dynoed 433ft. lbs. 347 stroker --> Tremec TKO --> 31 spline rear + panhard + torque bar + subframe connects + upper/lower torque box reinforcements + afermarket lower control arms (minus upper control arms/quads) + new door pins.

In short, some healthy horsepower passing through a reinforced convertible body.

The stereo will be Sirius radio and iPod fed... No moving parts.

I don't mind a little shake, rattle & roll, but will solid motor mounts for my short jaunts through town knock out the fillings in my teeth ???

Thanks in advance.

Going by what you described what you'll be using your car for, I definitely suggest polyurethane. It will be allot firmer than your rubber mounts but more forgiving on the nuts and bolts on your car from coming loose.

I helped a friend put solid mounts in his 98camaro and he ended up regretting it initialy had to take out every bit of lose change and any thing that wasnt completely tightened vibrated horribly. After 6 months of daily driving that thing he is now numb to it, but hes the only one.
