Mt St Helens Cruise

I know I've seen a couple people mention this now, and our days for this year are starting to get limited before the rainy months come rushing in and ruin what few nice days we have left.

Just curious how many of us here would actually like to do this? Maybe it would be possible to set something up for next weekend sometime. I've never been to Mt St Helens, and I don't see a better way to visit the place.

So, who's up for heading north!?

Yeah, I haven't looked at the forecast for next weekend...so maybe I'm being a bit too optimistic. But I was assuming a best-scenario. IF the weather next weekend is like now..well, perhaps then we could get something planned?

I'd think it's worth a shot.

I'd be interested in a cruise. About how far is it? This sounds like a great time.

From Vancouver, its 75 minutes of travel time if you dont stop or get behind major traffic. That would be a good cruise and you want to go before it snows and they gravel/sand the roads

when i did it with the BMWs we actually went up St Helens and not the observation spots......

Lord Mustang GT has a copy of the route we took

we left SouthCenter and went up to Rainier then out through Packwood and then up St Helens and then came back through Spanaway

with stops for food and stuff i didnt get home until 9ish that night and we left SC at 9 that morning

it was around 350 miles i think

That doesn't sound like a bad drive at all.
