Yea it usually takes around 500. But 11,000RPM is alot....Suzuki wouldnt be that specific if it didnt matter. And yes I agree, if you BABY the engine it will run like crap and will have an earlier ending than it should.

You have to beat on it, but just not TOO much is all im saying. I went WOT with the bike 2 times today to about 5K in 4th(EDIT: WOW talk about POWA!!!!!)...and as soon as I hit 500 miles ill start upping that to 6000 then 6500 then 7000 then to about 7500.

My GT has about 55,000 on it and I worked my way up from around 3500-5000 in the first 500 miles...after that I worked it up to 6000 shortly after. 0 problems and 0 smoke with very slight oil consumption.

SO basically I think we are both right to a point....I failed to mention that you shouldnt just baby it GO WOT OFTEN but keep the RPMs in check and gradually raise them

The only thing that saved me from beating on my car after the gear install was the fact that I picked up my car in a downpour!

I beat on it the next day though

I broke my 4.10's in the right way, by doing a reverse burnout out of my bay and chirping 2nd and 3rd out of the lot.

God now I need to do this.

I drive 75-80 for 50 miles round trip for work so I'm settling for the 3.73's. I can't wait.
