Let say I want to move the lower shock mount over 2.25 inches to keep the coil overs at a 90 degree angle to the rearend. What's the best way?
I want to keep the co's in the relative stock location, just moved in one more inch than what I previously planned.
Maybe by moving it in that far, I can eliminate the need to mount the coil over onto the panhard bar bracket all together? I need to get the dimensions of the bracket and where the bar goes to see if there would be any interference with the co's.

Sure Mike, I understand what you're saying. I haven't done anything yet.** Sigh*
Tip the C/O at an angle. It'll mean that the spring rate will probably have to be stiffened (because the coil isn't directly carrying the weight vertically) but as opposed to moving the entire shock inboard, you'll keep the sprung part of the rear as wide as possible, and that should keep the handling portion of your dilemma in check.
This is just my thoughts. If you called Strange, QA-1, Afco, they all may tell you the polar opposite.
But,...for whatever reason you have a bug to go fat on the tires, understand that with every modification that leans towards radical (and a 335 under a fox body fits that mold) you'll have to make concessions. If that means that a full length exhaust wont fit, or you'll have to rethink your gas tank, or, you'll have to Jerry rig the PH bar, or do away with it altogether, or have to cut up, or lose the rear seat altogether(If you intend to use a rear seat)......I'd consider the end result "Saturday Night Special", and take a step back.
Conversely, If you're willing to smell like you're addicted to carbon monoxide, don't mind having to have the kids sit on a piece of wood where a rear set used to be, have to rely on the stock 4 link for your axle centering, and have to take a turn like miss Daisy's driver,.....Then........ Go wide young man,.....Go wide.
I mean,...It's what I've done. But I still have a full length exhaust. There is wood for a back seat, but it still accomodates the little Japanese kid nicely. I always intended to use the stock 4 link, (but I still can go PH bar/TA at anytime I want.
Moderation.......it allows things like still being able to bore a dart block when a piston fails because you didn't max bore it from the get go.

But, even with 315's and a MM panhard bar, I would have to modify their bracket since it just places the co in the stock location.
I understand the tilting of the co too, your breath wasn't wasted on me. The panhard bar bracket only allows a tiny bit of deflection to the sides. 3-4 degrees. I believe I would be looking closer to six without modifying it.
I still need to do measuring on this. I really just started giving the panhard bar serious consideration today since I finally got a call back from MM last night.
I'm still not saying I'm going to try to have 335's. It's just getting close to the time that I do the mini tub and I'm giving consideration to what might be possible within the standards I wish to meet.
So no sighing allowed here, I'm just seeing if it's possible for 335's, if it's not, I'll be plenty happy with 315's. But the necessity of modifying the MM panhard bracket for the 315's just got me thinking.

I really get your wit mike, it's why I think you're alright. Once I realized you were sarcastic and not just grouchy (though you may have a little of that in you as well), I realized you could think through a smart*ssed reply without being terribly offended and could come back with something sharp. I was laughing a bit through your reply.
It's hard to get the full intent across in a forum of your intentions, so some thoughts (while well thought through in your head) may come across as foolishness. Those things are more likely the fringe details that need to be polished smooth.
I'm not constantly thinking of stuffing 335's underneath Doby. Some of this is just for more clearance for 315's. Now if some freak mind explosion works out to throw 335's under there, you bet I'll do it.
I was thinking about closer to a two inch tubbing simply for the added room for the variances in tire sizes, with the 315's to be sure you understand. Though, reasonably it will probably only stretch out to 1.5-1.75"s.
Watch me in the end though, it'll be 315's. I'm not even slightly disappointed by this.
So, easy there mister, you obviously need more alcohol intake in your diet. Lord knows I do!
BTW, a pearl blue would look nice on the monster.
