Build Thread My 1986 T-top Build - Lasting Memories

Honestly mike, call it a build thread if you like or don't. If it helps someone else to understand it better with that label, then cool beans.
I started a separate thread to learn about the mini-tubbing. I will document the progress of the actual mini-tubbing in my progress (build) thread.
I didn't want to clutter the main thread with extraneous ramblings.
If you would rather I put all info into one thread, I can do that as well.
Like I've told you before, I'm new at this forum stuff and if I make some sort of breach that upsets you, crap mike, that's life. I wasn't trying to. I wanted to focus on an area that I have limited knowledge.
So should I continue all in one thread then?
Is that the way it's done? I'm easy mike, relax a little.
If that's the way it's done, then please do put it in my progress thread.
If it's better to be called a build thread, then help me out here Mike, change it to a build thread.
I'm not trying to belittle the forum's procedures. I just don't know all of them yet. Give me a break, I'll learn.

Jeez,...lighten up. You have no reference for what an actual "dogging" from me looks like. You'd have to talk to @hoopty5.0, or
@95BlueStallion for insight there. I was just letting you know that it would be easier on you if you consolidated it. If you want it the way it is, I'm easy. Between you and me thinking the other has his undies in a wad.......... I just thought you might want me to merge the threads.

Here,...look at these smiley dudes.:):D:jester::welcome: Think calm thoughts.

Ohmmmmmm,...Ohmmmmmm

Ah, sorry Mike. Now that I understand you better, I'll know better in the future.
One thing though. I was kind of wondering about the whole build thread. I had looked for it when I started the thread, but this is a special designation then? How about it then. I think I'm pretty serious about doing a full build here.
One other, not to harp on the other thread I started. I started it to see if I wanted to even do it at all. Through everyone's help I saw that it was feasible, even for me. That thread can be merged with my main thread if you want and think it could be helpful for others thinking about it.
The smiley dudes did make me feel calm btw.

I'm cracking open a beer right now!

My favorite store beer!!

I really like the profile of 17" rims on the fox
Personally Saleen SC's
It's the first time I tried that beer. My friend bought that bottle for me. I really like it, I'll have to go find at least six more of those. Never have been a fan of Belgian style ale, but hopped, it's pretty tasty!
I agree with 17"'s, it's what I want. Got a bunch of measuring to do when I get ready to mini tub. I'll get a set to fit though.
I like the saleens as well, got a little backspacing issue with them though.

Belgians are normally too sweet for me. I like home brewing too. My favorite "sweet" beer to make would be a octoberfest style beer.
The hoppiness of this beer really makes it appealing to me.

I need help looking for deals, where will be the cheapest place to buy a set a MM extreme sport lower control arms with no spring perch and a good ($600~) set of coil overs for the rear of my car. I've looked at a bunch of different c/o's. Leaning toward MM, maybe Viking shocks?
It'll be the middle of next month before I need or can buy these, so I have some time to think.

Ok, just for ranting and speculation, let's say 315's just aren't enough and I wanted 335's to tuck. And let's take it for granted I would have to notch the frame rail a good solid inch (about halfway through). Besides the interior trim, what else should I consider modifying? Will the seats fit? They will at a 1.25" tubbing, but I would need two full inches for this idea.
I would probably have to modify the rear seat belt location, at the 1.25" tubbing it will already be tight. I think I could do that.
I would probably need to move the lower shock mount on the tubes as well.
I'm getting a modify bug. The old, well since I'm already cutting the tubs in half routine....
In the end, I have to be able to buckle my grandchildren in the back seat.
Come on, throw your views at me. @madmike1157
