1st. im new here. so ty to everyone for there help.

i just picked up a 1993 lx 2.3 auto convertible. for WAY to much $. but owell i want to keep it a 4cyl. and keep the auto. i plane a custom cai that will draw from behind the grill or bumper. i will be using a k&n apollo filter. with custom bent tubing. a ranger header. and egr delete. i know that on some 2.3s you can rotate the intake. can i do that on mine so it faces the front? im thinking less bends for the intake. and other ideas for better performance/mileage? and not not turbo.. maybe my net one..mmmm with volvo head to lol

People rotate the intakes on turbo 2.3s so the pipe routing involved with the intercooler looks cleaner and flows better, I doubt it would we worth the trouble on your engine. Keep us posted on the progress of your intake.
And welcome to the forum!

Gears would help but it will affect highway cruising rpms.

im thinkin of selling it. i think with the inside being in good shape. newer tires. tune up and new brakes. aswell as a fairly straight body....1 small dent. i can easily get 1500 for it even though it needs a top. but not decided yet. until then though the mods will continue

The autos already have 3.73s so you could try 4.10s, not sure just how much it would affect gas mileage.
