I sure can say that the Nitto 555NTs ARE about useless in snow! Maybe 1 1/2 of snow in the parking lots and I had alot of trouble moving forward. Stopping, even very easy on the brake going <10 MPH and they just slid. I will be putting on the fanblades next time they call for flurries! Now after it has melted and dried up, she is just filthy!

Dang kool sorry to see her get filthed up like that. As you know Eleanor is asleep in the garage gettin prepped for World of Wheels.

We got about 6 inches of snow Tuesday night.

Those nittos are basically summer tires man, be very careful as you have already experienced they are useless in snow and that's an understatment. Really is an accident waiting to happen with them on there...

we just got 4 today, and its supposed to snow everyday for the next 4-5. :bang:

im on the stock 17" pirellis that have been run at the track on many occasions this year. still doing fine in the snow, but i can tell they are not as good as they were when new.

I knew getting these this late in the year, they wouldn't stay on long. As they were only calling for 1-2" I figured I'd go very slow and see just how they were. I will be ordering 2 new KDWS tires in the morning(on special at tirerack for $79 each:eek:) I didn't have any mega problems running them last winter:nice:

Sorry You have to drive it in that weather Kool...my baby is stored in my heated garage...didn't get one last drive in before the snow hit like I had hoped! Oh well.

My Siberian Huskies have been waiting all summer for the snow and now I can't get them back inside!

My boys...Miko, Kota and Naku.

Erin I need you to take some good pics of my dogs in the snow.

Enjoying that new camera, eh? :)

I just got Blizzaks for my beater. It snowed tonight so I'll get to try them out when I get off in 1/2 hour. I've always heard great things about them. My mother-in-law gave me her old Contour to use for a winter car a few weeks ago. Then last weekend she called me and said she remembered she had a set of Blizzaks on wheels in the attic for it. So I got a free beater and almost new Blizzaks on wheels! Score!

I'll try get some pics. I have been driving through the snow AND I am working on a 14 month modernization project at a portland cement manufacturing facility, soooooooooooooooooooo my baby is one step away from Quickrete covered - daily. :(

Thank god us CA folks don't have to worry about snow.

I do envy that at times...I do love playing in the snow a few times a year as well.

I am loving it! I've taken around 200 pics so far. Mostly of the car:rlaugh: Not exactly knowing what I'm doing. I'm trying different modes/settings. I'll get it figured out:nice:
+1 on the winter beater and the shoes:D

ICK:(

Everybody be patient as can be with the other crazies out there in the bad weather this season and let's keep our cars in good shape!

I feel sorry for you guy's with no winter beaters. Salt on a classic has got to suck. Also stangs are and have allways been worthless in snow. I'm down to 2 cars right now myself and my wife drives the fusion to work. Luckily I work construction and I'm layed off. I do need to get a beater as soon as I can like an escort or something thats front wheel drive and cheap on gas for when I get called back.

just be careful out there guys when the weather gets bad, i just can't imagine myself making a snow blower as my second vehicle. but believe me we have fog problems over where i live...i bet you guys deal with fog too when it snows especially this time of the year...let the dogs out and keep the stang's in. enjoy the weekend guys and be safe!

I actually miss it sometimes. When I was growing up, in the midwest, I learned how to drive sideways and at the edge of control in those conditions.
To this day I just cannot make heads or tails out of a front wheel drive car because of that.
I used to take my old beat up Mercedes diesel out on a frozen lake and do donuts. I'm amazed I'm still here sometimes... :)

Snow is cool as long as your looking at it through the piture window of a nice warm house, it's even pretty, more so around christmass time. However driving in it makes it ugly fast. Actually I'ld rather drive in snow than freezing rain or black ice.
