I am looking for a "beater" Explorer for less than $3,000 and with less than 150,000 miles. I had a 96 and it got beat to hell and lived until the tranny failed on the Ex-husband around 200,000 miles. So, within the next month or two I will be picking up something like this for DD.

In the meantime, my baby will continue to look like this:
I don't worry about the general grime from the snow and sand/salt, as much as the portland cement from the factory. The wheel well area in these shots is not as bad as it gets when it rains and the powder turns rock hard. He needs a undercarriage high pressure wash as well. The driveshaft gets caked along with everything else underneath.
