i went to my friends house tonight and there was one of my buddys there with his 1987 camaro iroc-z that has like 50,000 miles. so everyone was egging us on to race, i finally crushed under the pressure and we went out to the spot or the track wherever you think we were.
1st race- i just spun my tires to clean them off he did the same got to the line i just held it at 3000 rpm's since it usually bites if i slip it just right. didnt happen the kid dropped his arms and i dumped it spun all the way through 1st and then i missed second and hit the limiter, i finally got it into gear but by the time i got traction in mid second he was about a car ahead. i quickly recovered by the top of second and third gear. and put 2 cars on him by the end. i wanted to go again though with good traction.
2nd race- revved to like 2500 and slipped it out and got a pretty good launch no spin but it bogged a little. we were dead even through 1st and about halfway into second but at the top of second i had a car on him. slammed it into third and by the end of third i was about 3 cars ahead when we shut down.
you guys always say how slow these things are but i thaught it was a close race. maybe my car is just dying in its old mileage. they run high 14s from the factory with a 6.6 0 to 60. should i have beat him by more? all i know is i gotta fix my one wheel wonder! i just ordered an install kit and a trac-loc rebuild kit. ill have a video of the race up whenever i can figure out how to put them on the internet.
