Of course it won't start, it's in the middle of an intake upgrade! Anyway, I figured I'd share my latest project with all y'all. I'm stepping up a few components to maximize the potential of the Vortech. I had a reality slap at the Dyno recently; although I had decent RWHP and torque numbers (both max'd at 300), my a/f ratio fell of the scale @ 3200 rpm, which prevented me from realizing anything higher than 300. So, my hand has been forced! Here's what I'm up to, and your comments/suggestions are welcomed (if not expected).
I'm eliminating the FMU! Now I know why I see so many on ebay. I'll be using a billet fuel regulator, 42#er's, and an 80mm Pro-M, with a 70mmBBK TB. I'm keeping the stock (SN95) fuel rails as they will flow fine. I've decided to go with a Victor intake since the volume/velocity is already there due to the S-trim. I'm not certain that I need to do the Fox TB conversion in order to realize any performance gains, so I'll be using the elbow for now. I'm still trying to find one on ebay, etc. After I get it together, I'll get a Wideband tune and share the numbers. Speculations? Drivetrain is in my sig.
