I'm running the following and its just too loud:

Flowtech 1 5/8" Equal Length Shorties
Pypes Exhaust 2.5" Off Road X-Pipe (Just Installed)
Spintech 2.5" Pro Street's Dumped

Should I get rid of the Pro Street's?
If I do, what would you recommend I replace them with?

its probably the fact that their dumped, get tailpipes to the back. But if you really want to change it id suggest magnaflows, there quiet at idle and roar when you open it up.

i have:

mac shorties
no cats
x pipe
spintech pro streets
tails

outside, it is very loud from behind but inside its not bad at all. i had flows in place of the spintechs before and it was louder inside with them.

dont scrap the spintechs!!!!!!!

a company (which I forget the name of) makes a metal insert which goes inside the exhaust pipes and helps lower the sound level. I would give these a shot if you don't want to lose the spintechs. You can google search it or I will find out for you if you are interested.

i had some 2 1/4" dumps on my car when i got it(40 series flows) and the rest of the piping was 2 1/2" and it was way too quiet. i cut the 2 1/4"s off and it got loud like it should be. id try that for the hell of it.

A mustang won't get but so loud unless no mufflers, I've had a few exhausts on 3 differant mustangs, they don't get too loud. my loudest was a 95 cobra with off road x-pipe and flowmasters, I currently have off road x-pipe and longtubes with flowmaster cat-back and at idle it's kinda quiet to me. It's a gt so the tailpipes turn down I guess that's why, but they're never too loud

same here, i switched back to flows, the darn flows rattle my house from 50 feet away, but they are nice when cruising and very deep at idle, like the kind of sound that pounds you right in the chest :) probably wont try spintechs again though, if i get another 5.0 it will have a bassani street comp system on it.
