Wile Coyote's stunt double
I bought this 428 about 6 years ago already machined , .30 over bore ,new pistons but they are cast and i will be ordering forged in the next couple of days
Crank has been turned .10 under . A new full set of 77 clevite bearings ,10 over rings fresh machined 428 CJ heads ,new valves and guides . And a full gasket set . I got the whole bundle for the whopping price of ...$1,200. Dollars!
Now the new pistons are going to cost a good $800. And I need a melling oil pump and a comp cams 280 H ..love that cam!
The block will need cleaning ,a bit of deburing and some other minor machining I can do my self ,but the cylinders will need to be honed and clearance for forged pistons and i want the rotating assembly balanced . I still need the cam ,oil pump and water pump .
Now ,I can't decide if it will go in my 69 Mach 1 ,or my 1956 ford fairlane ,it may not look it but the fairlane is just about dent free ,going to be a tough decision because I really want that fairlane running but the 69 is just begging for it!

Not that I have any bearing on anything, but a 69 Mach with a 428CJ and 4 speed is my dream car, so I know what I'd pick. I'd look at the Fairlane as I do my 55 Chevy - build it as a nice cruiser with a relatively mild engine. Anyway, that's what I'd do.

I'll just drop this here for inspiration. ;)

The 56 was a barn find ,sitting since 1966 . It's a 312 automatic car but the motor was not salvageable ,shows 60,000. Miles on it . Very straight . I will put this one on the rotisserie and strip it to bare metal .

The 2005 mustang was in great shape but it had a fire because the owner did his very own stereo mod and used battery clamps with tall studs that hit the hood when he closed it . Fried the wiring for the stereo and burned the top off the fuse box and the fuses, got it home and replaced all the fuses it it fired right up haha! Insurance had totaled the car or i would have put it back on the road .
