Ok,

Next Saturday is the day, I just returned from the body shop and I'm dropping the car off next week for its paint,

Now the cars Black now,
But Im torn between Black and Red, BIG TIME
Like I cant make a decition,

I LOVE Red, Its my favorite color, However freshly painted Black Stangs look amazing,
But so do Red :( Look at the 93 Cobra R's!
Ive decided on the body kit upgrades,
Cobra Grill Insert,
2000 Cobra R Style Hood
Saleen Wing,

I really am doing this right now :bang: I am so confused and I think I need some help

People with black and Red GT's, Please post your pics, Any condition,
I need to see what my heart desires :(

This is what my car looks like now, However the camera has done a good job hiding the dullness of the black and the little dings and scratches everywhere

you have a black interior correct? well there is no doubt about it go with a fresh coat of glossy black.....Like you stated above...nothing like a nice fresh black paint job. Red is nice too but doesnt give the same nice look. Black has the capability of looking classy..yet fast...yet just plain bad AS$.

GO W/ BLACK MY FRIEND :spot:

This is the Red I want,

This is my car in England after spending 2 years in a garage!
I didnt even wipe it and look how nice the paint shines,
Red is much more forgiving than black, and here I dont have a garage,

I miss this little car and I loved it,

Specs,
1990 Ford Escort RS Turbo (Yes OUR Ford Escorts look good)
Modified and Dynoed at 200 BHP

Fast little 1.6L Turbo car :D

I still have it, In London,
I used to Have 3 Cosworth Fords too, But this is all I have left,
Anywhoooooo

the Paint is Ford Radiant Red, and I love that color, It looks amazing after cleaning and I know my Stang would be drop dead gorgeous in this color
There NOT the best pics of this car, I only could take 3 at this time due to low battery on the camera

I think I have another of this car clean somewhere when I used to Live in England

You gotta admit the English Escorts DO look a little like our Stangs!!!

(theres been a LOT of bodywork done to my car, they dont look like that from the factory)

I had the little "evil eyes" welded on the hood, the front bumper is differnt, I had all the lines around the bumpers smoothed in,

But apart from that, The ground affects, the Hood Vents, The wing, Is all stock

Oh and Stock Recaro Bucket seats came Standard on ALL Ford RS models :D

Yeah my interiors black,

I know how good Black looks, Thats why I need Black Stangs to post!

Howvere they show dirt, Sctatches, and all that

Man im SO torn

Your car is black now so I don't need to tell you how difficult it is to keep a black car looking clean-especially without a garage, you have to wash the mf'er like every 4 days!! I'm sure switching to red will be more expensive because it is a color change and a more extensive painting process (what with redoing the door jams, under hood, etc.) I agree both red and black glossy paint jobs look phenomenal on fox bodies and with your black interior you can really go either way. You will turn more heads (including cops) with red. You could split the difference and get it repainted black and add some red racing stripes-I like that look anyway. Good luck. :nice:

Black cars look awesome, but blk is haaaaaaaard to take care of. If you go with blk garage the car or get a car cover. Believe me, if Henry Ford seen my car when I bought it and to see it now; he'd roll over in his grave and shoot me!

I know how hard it is to take off :(

Thats why I want to do it red

I get crappy pollen on the car all the time and it looks dusty all the time,

Eghhhh

Black is the ultimate muscle car look,
Red is the ultimate sports car look,

Put it this way,
I fI went back to 1991 and There was a Red GT and a Black GT at a dealer, Id take the Red one,

But its now 2004 and my car was BORN Black, and it IS black,
The bodyshop didnt have a problem painting it any color, but its $250 more to color change,

Black and Sparkle silver are the hardest colours to spay, silver because you can see every little imperfection in the pain itself, black, well black can make you car the friendliest car on the block if the body work is not absolutely perfect, I'm talking hours blocking that thing out to make sure there aren't even the smallest ripple because it will show EVERYTHING. The problem with RED is that A) its more expensive paint because they actualy have to use gold in the paint to get the red colour and B) the COPS Always seem to see red..... at least around here....

I'm a white Stang fan myself, but I worked in a custom car shop for a while so I thought I would throw my two cents in.

Good Luck With Your Choice!
I'm Sure It Will Look AMAZING! :D
