My Paint job is getting too emotional, Im torn between Black and Red! Help me!

Just do what I did "Black Cherry", I needed a colour to go with my porno red interior so I couldn't choose between black and red so I got black with a red pearl in it. It's hard to see in the pictures, but it looks black until you hit it in the right light and it turns blood red, I love it. I don't have a garage right now either, it is a pain to keep up but i found that one of those California Car Dusters help keep the dust off of it and don't scatch it. You do have to wax it alot to keep the haze away.

I'm so sick and tired of cleaning and polishing my white LX that I am going to paint it flat black just for that reason!
Yes I am!
No bull *****!
People think I'm phycho for messing up the nice white paint
Oh well

The body will be flat black
All trim will be glossy black
Shaved antenna
17X9 all around
275 40 17 out back

This is how my car looked liked two weeks ago before the start of the body work

And how it looks right now
No major dents
Just minute dings that will be filled with glazzing putty.

I actually like the 'black suede' look on some vehicles. My bike is silver -- and I'm seriously considering painting all the silver bits with the satin black 'suede' treatment. Give it that full blown 'hooligan bike' look. However, with your car, be prepared for it to REALLY absorb heat, especially out in sunny CA. Flat or satin black paint absorbs and holds heat at a MUCH greater rate than any other color or finish you put on it. It's gonna be warm. The good news is that you can fry eggs on the horizontal surfaces anytime after noon from March through October.

Its not that hot here here in Southern California.
Right now its 80 degrees in this town Escondido
and its 3:30pm
The coast is 75 degrees partly cloudy

My car is not a afternoon daily driver
I cruise my LX up and down the coast on the weekends and drive to see my family 130 miles away with the AC blowing cold cold air.

Cardudeusa-your car is awesome. That color is sick, I love the way it looks especially in the 1st pic. Did you get it painted at a local shop or something? $700 seems really good especially for changing the color.

Thanks! I had a guy that I knew paint it, he didn't have a shop and he painted it in a tent in his back yard. The paint is Dupont Chromobase 7 colors combined to make this one.:nice: At night it looks blue, in light sun it looks teal, and in bright sun it looks best, like that first pic.

go red. you have listed so many reasons against black already. but, save up a little longer if you have to and get it done right. Black cars can look spectacular, thats for sure, but I love my silver car because even when its covered in dirt, it still looks pretty damn clean. From a few feet away that is. Black shows too much.

I learned my lesson getting my car painted silver again. Silver is great, but the fools i took it to messed up the metallic, so I have wierd areas of heavy metallic and other areas of less. Really really pisses me off.

go with almoststock's color its crazy nice, its true the rims do depened and body parts like a different wing, but if u want it to stand out go with a cobra red or the red that almost stock has, if u want a sleeper/muscle look go black
