Yeah i think it will look better at night too, like i said when its the sun it has that orangish color, which i dont like. But when i had it in the shade its bright red, which i love. Im gonna wash the car real good tomorrow and see if i can shine her up some. I was told not to wax for a lil bit, so im gonna give it a good wash.

Another thing i need to know, the side moldings the guy was suppose to put them on, but he didnt..... He said he was gonna use some 3M double side tape. Can i pick this stuff up at the local body shop, how much you think it will run, he says the stuff is amazing. I know when i took the moldings off it was metal backed taped, I wasnt sure if you can still get this?????

go with the 3m tape. it's fairly cheap and lasts damn near forever.

how about one huge stripe that covers the top of your cowl, flows over the roof and stops at the spoiler.

This is what i heard too, but i talked to a body guy last night and he said just dont wax it for a few weeks, he said summin like that the solvents in the paint still cure out of it, and if you wax it, it will trap them in. I was gonna washe the car just with water to get rid of the dust.

New Turbo and Valvetrain!!

Well todays my birthday, Im 19. I got my turbo in the mail today that i bought a week or so ago. I also got the rest of my valvetrain at a car show last weekend. Man this was one of the best birthdays i had in awhile, even though all the presents were from myself, lol. Check out the pictures.

Im not gonna do anything with the turbo yet, i wanna run the motor N/A first, to get used to the car and get it all broken in. I will start buyin all the other nessesary turbo parts and do the install once i got everything.

Congratulations! After I put turbos on my 5.0, I came to the realization that nothing else really compares.

Have fun, but stay safe. The difference in power is overwhelming.

Its a 408W, my signiture has all the specs... The tubro is a Garret AiResearch T6 78.5mm. Its a huge beast. I have been over at the TurboMustang forums lookin at a lot of stuff. I have seen a queit a few 408w hitting 750-800rwhp with these turbos. They will support well over 30 psi, but i need to start thinkin of a new block, maybe the man-o-war or summin else they is very stout. Thanks for the replies, i have been puttin my car back together, because i just got it back from the paintshop last week. I guess i need to update my signiture, lol.

My motor isnt done yet, i have to put all the valvetrain on still, and i still need a carb to go on it. That all will be coming in the near future, i should get a pretty hefty bonus from work, all is good!!!

Is that thing really only 78.5mm? I put a can up to my 76.5mm turbo and it didn't seem that close to yours.

Anyway, if it is a 78.5, it is on the small side for that engine. You might consider going with an 80, or 91mm turbo.
