My tranny sounds like a supercharger???

How come when i go throught the rpms my trannyy makes a whine kind of like an 03 cobra blower haha????? The tranny seems to shift fine and it doesnt grind at all but makes avery loud whine when accelerating.

Mine has been doing that since the day I test drove the car. Its been about 12k miles since that and I still beat the living snot out of it on a daily basis without any issues. I think the gears in the tranny are just noisy from the factory, but I was also thinking the TOB might be causing the noise. I still have my fingers crossed that it'll hold together for a good while.

oh ya its the natural sound,I don't get as much of it with my american thunders drowning it out,but it is a cool sound.

T5s whine pretty bad. Switching to synthetic fluid can quiet it down some. But most of them do that and it will only get LOUDER as it gets older.

Slight whine is fairly normal, but if it sounds like a full out blower then I might be worried. My buddies sounded like a blower for a while then it blew up.
