This is the first time out with the new combo. And also my 26X10.50 Et streets are being spun all of 1st gear and a little in 2nd.

1st pass (6000 rpm shifts
60ft=1.68
1/4=11.93@115.97

2nd pass(6200 shifts first 2 runs is 32 degrees timing
60ft=1.69
1/4=11.87@116.90

3rd pass (6300 shifts)
60ft=1.69
1/4=11.83@117.20 last 2 runs was 35 degrees timing.

4th pass(6500 shifts)
60ft=1.76
1/4=11.99@119.33

On the last run I figured I would launch around 3500..Since I was spinning so badly. Well dumping it at 3500 resulted in me almost stalling it! I also have MSD And my Rev limiter was set at 6600 RPM so on the last run I hit the rev limiter 2nd and 3rd gear probaly hurting my ET And MPH..

I also havent touched the carb since my previous engine so there is alot of tuning to do there. Plus the car in under geared. What do you all think?

That's sweet ... hey mind giving out a little more information about the car? You got to have more than a 331 stroker kit in there... what heads, intake, cam, and gear if you don't mind saying.

116MPH that means 11.6 is possible once traction is fixed? *new at this stuff*

I PAID $300 FOR THE BLOCK AND IT WAS ALREADY ALIGHN HONED.

NO PLANS FOR A POWER ADDER AS OF YET!!!

I SAY THERE IS 3 TO 4 TENTHS IN SUSPENSION TUNING AND 3 TO 4 TENTHS IN ENGINE TUNING. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

YES THE AFR'S ARE UNTOUCHED. ONLY THING I DONE TO THEM WAS UPGRADE TO 7/16 ROCKER STUDS. I'M ALSO USING THE STANDARD .550 LIFT SPRINGS!!!

THE CAM IS PRETTY MILD ACTUALLY DRIVES LIKE A STOCKER

SPECS ARE 234IN, 242EX@.050 .528IN, .544EX ON A 109LS POWER RANGE IS 3500 TO 6800ISH OR 7000. ITS A TIGHT LASH SOLID.

THE COMBO HAS NOT SEEN A DYNO BUT ONCE I GET A JOB MAYBE THAT WILL CHANGE

I TOLD ED I WANTED HIGH 10'S AND HE HELPED ME PICK OUT THE COMBO..

It's got the poop to deliver the goods I think. Tune the engine, then tune the chassis and you'll be golden.

after seeing those #s, i think that convinced me to get the AFR 185s now. i think that my 331 needs more and i think yours is on the right track.

I built me a 331 over last winter, and I started running it about 2 months ago, my times were 11.70s at 119.90mph. My 60fts are terrible, a miseralbe 1.70. I have new tranny with a higher gear ratio and i also did some more work in the clutch area, so I hope once racing season starts I can acheive 10sec timeslips... I have a 650 carb, Air gap intake, non ported TFS highports (old style) solid flat tappet cam, longtube headrs...

Very good numbers for the first time out! The car should have a ton of potential left in it. How much does it weigh?
