Ok. It's finally in and just testing it with windshield washer fluid I picked up 1 MPG. Last night I replaced that with -20 washer fluid and one bottle of Heet starting fluid. Now I just have to fit the correct nozzle and adjust the pump pressure to get maximum chamber cooling and octane boost.

The low-rpm/low-load pinging is all but gone except the tiniest bit on tip-in until I run it WFO. The 3-step-colder-than-stock spark plugs may have helped a bit too. They dissipate heat from the chamber better but with them and the initial squirt of alcohol on start-up when there's no vacuum cold starts have gotten a little rough. I may need an arming switch. Got the perfect place for one since I don't have a convertible.

I'll update again when I adjust the flow and flash the 100-octane tune.
 
Pics won't show much since I used the washer fluid tank and mounted the pump below that on the frame rail. All hidden. All you can see is a little conduit and a red hose running across the firewall to the intake tube, but even the nozzle is hidden a bit under the strut tower brace. I'll take some pics with the fender liner pulled back and of the hose but it's still a sleeper.

I didn't have my own thread before, just posted in a couple of others that I was going this route.
 
I'm running the 100 octane tune today with no pinging. I'm going to make some 3rd/4th gear runs on the way home to make sure and then start adding some WOT timing. I have to retard a little at 0-2000 again until I can get a datalog to my tuner.

I took pics of the engine compartment but they're at home. If my wife doesn't go into labor tonight I'll upload them.
 
I'd say if you had to retard timing a little to run on 93 or weren't able to advance much it could make a huge difference. What did Jake build you (noticed your sig) and what made you go to Longwood, FL from TX for an engine build?
 
ditch the vacuum switch and install a WOT switch instead - that way an arming switch is not necessary. This will involve re-wiring the relay that triggers the pump as you will have a normally open switch versus the normally closed switch you have currently. I have a diagram I can send you via Email if you'd like . . .

Please do. I think that would solve my problem. It would also help me conserve some of the mixture, saving some $$. [email protected]

would the ability to bump the timing up bring noticable gains.. like 10 RWHP or so? Or am I reaching?
It all depends. Mine actually had to be retarded 3 degrees from stock to run on 93 octane. That was worth 18 hp and 15 lb/ft of torque on the dyno. I'm running the stock WOT timing now with the boost cooler and a little bit retarded at low rpm/low load w/ no pinging. I'm going to start adding timing this weekend if I have time. I also need to get the pics uploaded but there's so much to do with a new baby in the house.
