NASCAR 2010

I would say lap 4. It takes one or 2 laps to get up to speed.

it's going to be bad. I have a feeling another unknown will win. I also have a feeling Jimmie's gonna be wrecked by some low talent driver to the delight of the toothless attendees in the grandstands still wearing their wifebeaters with a 3 (yes, I've been to the race... I've seen the toothless people!)

Forgot to post up about my race experience at 'Dega. It was awesome! I was mistaken on the tix, that's the fall race that they do the infield. For the spring race, they have the motorhome in the campgrounds on the outside, going into 1. Anyways, our tix were upper deck right in the center of the tri-oval. Could see pretty much the whole track. Obviously the weather effed up the Saturday fun, but getting a double header on Sunday wasn't a bad thing either. It's funny how anti-climactic the start is with how slow the restrictor plate cars are to get up to speed. We all know it, but seeing it on TV doesn't do justice to just how slow it is, but by the third lap, seeing the field fly by at speed is impressive. Of course, I missed the 1 decent wreck with Kenseth since I was behind the stands getting some food. LOL The end to the Nationwide race was something else! Couldn't see it that well since it was a mile away, but the mangled cars trying to make it to the line was pretty funny.

I will say that even if you're not a NASCAR fan, it's worth going once just to see the whole spectacle. Now I want to go to see em on a short track like Bristol or Richmond.

Going to a race that gets dominated by someone you don't like can feel like a waste of a lot of time and money though, lol.

Darlington. Maybe Jeff Burton has been waiting for the right time to pay back Gordon from that 1997 incident. I'd rather see Kenseth do it though, you know he's going to get Gordon back some time this season. They have a history of doing that.

that was a pretty awesome race.. not just because JJ got his first road course win (he's been close before) but because my 3 fav drivers almost finished 1-2-3 (48, 47 and 7)

I really felt bad for Ambrose but was glad to see Jimmie dominate and win!

Gordon... man, what was he thinking? He took out how many cars? 4?? Wow. At least he man'ed up to the Truex Jr wreck and said what ever retaliation Truex brings on him he deserved.

I think he took out more than 4, there was a list of about 5 or 6 on something else I read. He apparently got Biffle and Kurt Busch, even though I didn't see it. It was the best race I've seen in awhile from any series though.

speaking of Daytona... the firecracker 400 was CRAZY at the end. I think before the final restart, I only counted 23 cars on the track!

Not sure if you guys noticed, but Jr broke into the top 12 in points. He said his car was trash and started to talk trash about his team because they unloaded junk, but stopped himself short. Hell, he finished 4th. He should be happy

As soon as I saw that Bowyer decided to go with Gordon, I knew he gave the race to Harvick. Gordon doesn't like to push, he likes to pass and as soon as they went into turn one, Gordon got right by Bowyer as Harvick and Kahne motored on by.
