Finally,

I started the motor today and started right up and no problems there. Just have to minor problems:

1. Alternator: Not Charging. It was working fine at the time of disasembly and it's not working now. I double checked the wiring harness and everything seems ok. Any coments?

2. Serpentine Belt Routing. I purchased an used one from Stang Parts and on the passenger side the pulleys are located diferently and the tensioner arm is diferent to the original one. Here is a pic of it. The problem the routing. I know its not correct, I had to just "kind of figure out". The AC compresor barely spins and the belt slips over it. (Here is a pic of my timing cover Timimg Cover 1 Timing Cover 2 ). Any coments? Pics of the correct routing on this cover?

Finally,

Here is the video:

Sounds awesome. I am switching to a Loudmouth this winter, so maybe mine will sound close to that (pushrod 5.0 will sound a bit different). Also, what was the reason for the "snapshot" of nothing coming out of the right exhaust tip? Other than that, nice vid.

The car is sweet. As for your alternator, just passing on what happened to me in a Chev Blazer. The alternator went out but my wife drove it home until the battery was about gone. Charged the battery up overnight, switched the alternator - no charge. Tore into it. Bottom line was the ECM got messed up. After cycling it a few times, it "suddenly" began to charge. Two pros agreed they have seen the ECM do strange things when changing alternators. Something to consider. This may not be your problem. I pulled the new alternator out and took it back but it tested fine - it was the car's ECM that was the problem.

Maybe some others have ideas?? Good luck, man, that ride will definintely attract attention. When the family was over in Germany in '96, all I wanted was my Stang on that autobahn.........ahhhhhhhh!!

Good luck...
