: I'm sure you have answered this a thousand times, but i need a new mass air. Pulled a code that said low voltage to mass air. 1994 cobra 331 with AFR heads custom cam Holley intake 10.5 compression and 36#inj.
Any one recommend one meter over another. Thanks for the help.:

First off, are you sure you need a new one? When I bought my 80mm calibrated for 42# I originally had the same code. The code seemed to be tripped because of a poor connection between the MAF and the harness. There is a rubber insulator in the one connector that was interfering, but that was all.

If your sure there is something up, PMAS seems to fit a lot of bills out there. Others have used the 90mm Lightning meter, others use the C&L.

I think to some degree it comes down to personal preference, but I would still vote for the PMAS. Last I checked coolblueperformance had some pretty good prices on their units.

In addition, I would check your actual signal. It should be about 1.0 volt when idling (though with your combo, that might be off).

An open in the VPWR, ground or signal wires will obviously cause issues (as Donavan wisely noted). The issue can be in the wiring to the MAF in addition to the connection itself.

Ensure the MAF wires (in the sensor) are not dirty.

It would suck to buy a new MAF and have the same code generated.

Good luck.
