Need advice on an engine build...

I will be buying a '68 Boss 302 block next week. It is fully machined bored .060 over, setup for a roller cam, and ready to build. The block was bored .060 over before I got it and the guy already sold the matching pistons, so I hope that doesn't give me too much trouble. The guy says it was actually one of several Boss 302 blocks that Roush bought back in the early 80's and sold as Roush longblocks or they built several Mustangs with them.

But anyway, I will be putting it in a street car weekend driver with a Kenne Bell 2.2 pushing 14-16 psi that will see several drag and road racing events throughout the year.

So with the block being .060 over, what are my options as far as cubic inches, and what would be best for my setup? I found some brand new second hand Probe .060 over pistons for $300 that are 8.1:10 w/ 64cc heads (my GT40x heads are 64cc). Think I should go ahead and jump on those pistons and then search for a crank and rods?

Also I would like to stay away from any of the previous problems associated with the 347 kits and cranks, yeah yeah I know everyone says that all the oil burning problems and short lived 347 problems have been "fixed" but I just can't see that as the problems were due to the stroke of the 347 crank. Maybe someone can make that a little clearer to me as well and change my mind about that.

Any input and suggestions would be great! Thanks
