Need advise on possible purchase 89 GT

Found this one a few hours away. Looks super clean but dealer doesn't know anything about it other than "it drives great" Showing 77,000 miles and he's asking $12.5k. What do you guys think of that deal and is there anything i should have him check before I drive a few hours to see it?

Looks like the car is in great shape. I would drive a few hours to look at it. You can do a carfax on it and see if that tells you anything. Check for the normal rust spots, shock towers, floor, door hinge areas. By the way that interior looks, could very well be a 77k car. I would try to work him down on the sale price though. 12k is way to high.

At this point fox bodies are worth what the buyer and seller agree is a great deal for both parties. I would go check it out. For $12.5k I would expect it to have a great paint job, nice clean interior, no rust, no accidents, and no mechanical issues. In other words the car should be almost perfect.
