Found this one a few hours away. Looks super clean but dealer doesn't know anything about it other than "it drives great" Showing 77,000 miles and he's asking $12.5k. What do you guys think of that deal and is there anything i should have him check before I drive a few hours to see it?

Looks like a cool car but that’s about double what it’s worth.

Thanks, it seemed a little high but I haven't been able to find any under $10k that are manual with low miles in colors I'm looking for. Any ideas on where to look?

Facebook marketplace and searchtempest.

Facebook has several large mustang groups.

Looks like the car is in great shape. I would drive a few hours to look at it. You can do a carfax on it and see if that tells you anything. Check for the normal rust spots, shock towers, floor, door hinge areas. By the way that interior looks, could very well be a 77k car. I would try to work him down on the sale price though. 12k is way to high.

Current prices are way up on Fox bodies. Asking $12.5k usually means he will take $10k. Offer $8k

Looks like a really clean car. I agree the price seems steep. Just curious, what are your plans for the car?

I looked at the Carfax and it seems like a 1 owner car no accidents. He says he has a standing offer for $11k that he won't take.

They all say that.
give him a written offer of 10.5 and your phone number if you're serious.

I'm just looking for a fun ride. Loved them in high school so thought I'd have e one as a second car now. Not going to mod it out or anything just little things to bring it up to date and better driver.

At this point fox bodies are worth what the buyer and seller agree is a great deal for both parties. I would go check it out. For $12.5k I would expect it to have a great paint job, nice clean interior, no rust, no accidents, and no mechanical issues. In other words the car should be almost perfect.

That is a really nice car. It is a little high but foxbody prices are right know. You should buy what makes you happy.

Looks like a really nice car. Wouldn’t pay more than $10k for it though. I think that’s fair.
