need help. 70mm vrs 75 mm tb.

yeah i have no idea what the stock stuff is.

anyone else have issues with strut bars not fitting properly anymore?

i dont really like killing rigitity of what ive done so farfor the cars handling.

once i get rid of my x-pipe in the garage ill be buying some more stuff... lol

75 and a tune. because the 75 and maching plenum will run your mixture lean and you will have more power but it will net more power if its tuned in. even if you already had a tune.

If you haven't already bought one, I might be selling my brand new BBK 75mm for a little less than new if you're interested. I'll be finding out next week if I'm going to go with a different inlet set up for my blower that utilizes a dual bore thottle body and not the standard round one.

Send me a PM if you or anyone else reading is interested.

i dont think i worded that properly.. lol.

do i need a different intake manifold when i get the plenum and throttle body??? will a different manifold be worth the 700 they cost?

are tuners easy to use, or is it just selecting your mods and it does the work for you????

thanks for all the help.

well i saw some for like 600 to 700.. do i need it? i know its a good idea but is it nesassary when doin plenum and intake manifold? i know by the time i get the other crap impiecing together i will have probably purchased all this stuff anyways...

its just so funny how josh finds a part that i thought was more expensive-- buy more and more more and more than i planned just because its more practical just to bolt everything together and put it all on at once.

for some reason i am half worried i wont notice a difference and just wanna buy more parts to ensure i have a happy silver bullet. (i dont mean bullitt for those that will question.....).

What?
I'd like to see you prove this out. Any changes this insignificant after the meter won't affect A/F.

The only mass produced intake manifold out there that I've seen is the Professional Products part. It will add power, but you do not need it with a plenum. The parts on the intake can all be swapped out independantly.

If you do a plenum/TB/and CAI, you will notice it. I can't remember what mods your car has, but if you need a cost effective mod plan just PM or e-mail me and I'll help you out. Too many people spend a lot of cash or the wrong or useless parts to get nowhere except for having a long mod list and a slow car. Even worse is the slow unreliable cars. I hate seeing customer build up cars they end up hating to drive by ignoring our advice.

Do me a favor and PM me a good mod setup for a basic bolt on car.

Right now I have a K&N FIPK, and just picked up an UPR o/r X. Plan on getting weld in mufflers untill I can get a catback, but in the meantime I plan on getting a PP 75mm TB and ported plenum. That sound like a decent start? Definatly dont want to spend my $ in the wrong area.

After all that, I will be considering gears or a handheld tuner.
