You won't loose on your mustang until you sell it. So don't sell it, build upon it. I also like the idea of a coupe or hatch roller and swap over. My son almost did that with his vert but the subject roller was priced too high for it's condition.

Actually yes a ride went down I I was stuck at work.
I am going to wait a bit to find a car to swap the parts into. The house is getting in the way.......... bathroom troubles.

Yea, right, the wife found out what you were up to now she's throw'n house projects at you till she can talk you into a big block chevy for the micro bus.
She already threatened my life about doing a Subaru swap into the vw. Lol I don't think a BBC would fly either.
She also found out about the Craigslist serching.... she not happy.
I will just drive what I have until she forgets about it..... then a car will magically appear in the side yard...
We talked it over and agreed that doing a full swap in the grass is a pita. So I will wait till I have the shop done. I also got the go ahead to build the shop, after the bathroom, kitchen and entryway are refinished....
