unreal i wish i was unemployed to have that much time to type! I sent some pics Almoststock so you can what your Aluminums missing, see what finished aluminum looks like.............Thank you!
Really seem to be carrying a grude for some reason...jealous?...sexually frustrated? I'm not sure why you came out of the gate swinging verbally at a fellow mustang enthusiast, but you need to take it down a notch. Try appreciating someone elses work without the need to criticize. Maybe it's all the time your spending up on Chatam..up there with all those god ugly women, is finally taking it's toll.

how old are you guys on here 40 -50??, bug one guy about differences with something and you all jump in like its a chat room not tech room, Derek ill see ya around some time and you can check out my ugly old lady, and Paul who i believe uses the same techniques as i thanks for the kick

I'm using tapered rolls on a drill with a shank, but I'm having trouble getting into the "90 degree angle" places. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried cutting a piece of sandpaper say something about 2”x2” square and there wrapping it around something the end of an old plastic toothbrush and sand in an up and down motion or back in worth motion. I've also sometimes used a pencil (the eraser end) and wrapped sandpaper around that and use a spinning motion with the pencil to get to the very bottom in the tight corners where you couldn’t get anything else in to sand with.
Just a suggestions.

I hate say it but there again your letting you’re a$$ over ride your mouth again.
I haven’t been unemployed for over 25 yrs and I’m sure not unemployed right now.

Thanks for the email and pic and I’m posting those pics for you in this post.

I did enjoyed reading your email it went like this didn’t it?
all the time you spend still doesnt finish as nice as my method a$$hole

And as you know by now this was my reply to you that I sent earlier so that way there is no he said I said controversy later!

I’m glad that you finally sent me those pics so that I can see for myself your work and I’m definitely going to post them on Stangnet for you as I said I would.
I have no idea where the name calling and bashing comes from but you do what you think is right if it make you feel good!

However I do have a couple of question for you and I know that you’re the one to straighten me out.
You sent me 3 pics of your work Right? The titles you have them list as are 93_1_b.jpg,, niceswingarm ,jpg and mystuff.
In the second pic why would you title a pic niceswingarm (Nice Swing Arm) if you did the work? It seems to me if it were your swing arm as your suggesting by sending me that pic you would have possibly titled something like eBay sale, because if you look in the lower right corner of the pic you see the camera logo that you typically see from someone selling something on eBay?
More than likely why you edited your earlier post with the pics as stang22 suggested.
However I do believe that the pic you have titled mystuff (My Stuff) is your work I will say that much for you, but believe me I’m not at all impressed with your work. Anyone who looks at these pics will tell you that the same person did not do all 3 pieces it’s obvious.

Have a nice day!

Any way here are the pics you sent me last night.

And your intake no where as nice or shiny as any of the people that I've mentioned below.
Stang22
DMAN 302
Mansonozz

Thanks guys for your support!!!

well this is never going to end, if you trust DMAN then i'll have to show him first hand both bikes and under the hood of the car. SVT the farther you go up in the grit of sandpaper the better finished product you end up with, regardless of what these guys say. Good luck

Don't bring me into this..I don't really think either Paul nor myself really care who can bring a betterr polish to a pc of metal..not the point of all of this. 92notch...we've not met, all I've seen from you so far have been your blatent accusations regarding Pauls work, and disrespectful responses to posts of people I think quite highly of, for no other reason than to pump your ego. Trust me as a man with a ego and sense of self that could fill the room your standing in..I do not like what I've been picking up on. You want to impress Paul, myself, or others in general, then I'd suggest you keep the negative comments for the dog...like I do...he always seems interested when we talk.

It's pointless, you achieve the same goal! Call any proffesional polishing company and see how they do it. They probably stop at 320-400. To each their own...

A Pro?? Would not stop a 400 u people are missing the real quality of aluminum, you people make me sick.

You are a complete idiot! We achieve the same shine with less work. It is pretty simple, but you are obviously missing the point. What you achieve with using 600, 800 and 1000 grit, I achieve with tripoli. That the entire point of using tripoli. After that, you use white rouge.

This is a qoute off of SW Metal. http://www.swmetal.com/page/faq Yes, they are professionals!!!!!

Sanding

All of your sanding operations you will generally pick a coarse enough abrasive to smooth out or remove imperfections in the part you want to buff. For example, on a cast aluminum intake you would start off with 80 grit and follow up with 120, 180, 240, 320, and finish with 400 grits. If you are working on a part that is stainless steel you will be better off taking it to a 400 grit finish before you begin buffing. Always use grinders grease when working on aluminum, and be sure to use a crosshatch sanding motion to prevent the metal from gualing or rolling. Sand all large areas first, saving the smaller tighter areas for last. Once the part has been sanded completely, rinse off and let dry, this will remove any grit from sanding. Now you are ready to buff.

Work smarter, not harder. If you owned a polishing business, you wouldn't have any customers because since you sand to 4000 grit before you start polishing, it would take you 2 weeks for finish something that normally only take a couple of hours.
