Sorry title should read Driveshaft
I'll try to keep this short.
I had the car @ the dealership to get new gears put in yesterday. Gears are in and the Mech. & I took her for a spin. There is no gear whine, so he installed them correctly, however we did hear a strange thumping sound comming from the driveline. It thumps softly and slowly at low speeds and increases in speed and volume at high speeds.
We put the car back on the rack with it in gear and the cruise control set to 2 MPH. You can hear exactly where the noise is comming from. See attached pic.
Now I have the 5yr 75,000 mile warranty, so it should be covered, if the driveshaft is shot. But I don't see how it could be since it was not making that noise before I brought it in. Does anyone have and ideas/suggestions?
