Need help with Demolet tunable induction install

I now see what's going on with the install difficulty.

Only refer to my directions and make sure to read the separate '4.6 install bulletin'.

The install guide from Stangpro shows the filter being mounted on the wrong end of the down pipe. It also shows an extra coupler that I sent on that particular system that wasn't used (depicted beside the filter). We wanted to see if the coupler shown on the TB pipe would clear a STB and it does.

All the TB pipes are sent fully assembled. There is a sleeve in the TB pipe coupler to size the coupler to the TB. The sleeve can then be removed later when going to a larger TB. Make sure this sleeve didn't get slid up into the TB coupler. Mount the sleeve onto the stock TB, then the coupler.

Only the 96-01 systems will have a temp sensor grommett in the TB pipe. The 02's up will not have the temp sensor grommett.

The system will come as depicted on my site, www.DeMolet.com , specs. page, system # 5.

Stangpro was notified that the install was incorrect and just go by my directions and bulletin. I'll email them again to change, denote this.

I apologize for any confusion this has caused.

Call for any tech assistance, 7-6 EST, Mon- SAT. 866-509-7453.

yeah, about that.........got a great deal on a McLeod stage 2 clutch and MM LCA's. saved $100 compared to what they normally go for. you think the -$232 is bad? I've decided I want to get LT's before the Novi, and I also decided to go with something other than BBK for the whole transmission accessability thing. That -$232 is going to be 4 digits before long :nonono:

oh well, once I get the LT's I'll have every basic bolt-on, save for pullies which I dont want to get because of getting a Novi down the road. Im only running a 9.0 1/8th too, its not that big of a deal to me. I've only ever launched 1 time at the track, and pulled a 2.1 60' / 9.0 1/8th on all-season Sumi's (i can live with that, those tires suck. I can break em loose in 4th starting from a slow roll in 1st :notnice: ). Since then Ive added the TB/Plenum, so hopefully with a little practice I can get an 8.9 or better this sunday (really hoping for an 8.8, but we'll see)

Yea, thats pretty good for where your at. But she has 270RWHP...so we think somethings wrong, somewhere. Powershifting also and 5500RPM shifts. Its got me baffeld. Heck I really cant even powershift LOL...except for 3rd, or the gear will miss...yes, even 4th. The tranny doesnt like it..or maybe I need to practice:shrug: .

As for the BBKs, all you would need to do is loosen the bolts up...but it would still eb a PAIN with the stock K member.

Hey, I thought, INCORRECTLY, that your original post was bashing the system and I APOLOGIZE for that.

I jump on and off the forums as part of the job while working and didn't take the time to ready your posts thorough enough. Haste makes waist!

Sorry for the missinterpretation.

nononono.. I got into the high 8's, and I did it without powershifting and hot lapping like crazy :p I'm actually going to the track in like 2 weeks for some practice, I don't have my shift light anymore though :( and oh well, I think it either has to do with that track or the weather because I watched a GT of my year with a novi 2000 run about an 8.3 on the same track and his launch didn't even look that bad. I also saw a GT same year with stage 2 cams, full exhaust, run a 9.1 with a little slippage

Apolgy accepted John...just be sure to read my posts clearly next time lol. I dont take any crap:rlaugh: ....I too am sorry that that happened. Take it easy.

Csledd, FINALY  . LOL, glad you got to where your pretty happy. Yea, sounds like bad weather...and probably not the greatest track either. Good job:nice:

I got the Tunable induction CAI installed. It was fairly easy to do. The only part i got confused with is the install write up on a different website i was following. They had a part on backwards and an extra part pictured that doesnt come with the kit, so i thought i was missing something.

The install is pretty straight forward otherwise. Like everybody says, the hardest part is holding the filter/pipe in the fender well while you bolt it up to the rest of the system. It would be almost impossible if you dont have a helper, unless of course you are the strechy circus freak guy or have long monkey arms.:D

The advice that i would share is install everything under the hood first, but dont tighten any of the hose clamps, leave them loose so they have play. Then attach the fender pipe with filter and tighten that down. Then you can tighten down the rest of the system. And last is tighten down the fender cover trim plate.

The fit is great, it also looks great. The thing i love the most about the system is the filter in the down position. It just so happens that on Saleens, they have no fog lights, intead they have vents in the lower front bumper. Well, the filter in the down position, is pretty much right behind one of the vents. So its going to get really cool blasts of air when i'm moving. If any CAI's really do work and boost power, this set up is perfect for my car and will give me the best gains with the coolest air.

I would also like to thank John Demolet for the great help he has been through his emails. His customer service is great, and a very nice guy. He offered to help me even after hours on his personal phone line to get my install straight. When i thought i was missing a part, he was going to ship it out promptly the next day, no questions asked. Thanks John.:nice:

In responce to the Customer Service of The DeMolt System, Once of my pipe's on my DeMolt system cracked in half...why I don't know.

I emailed John, and one was UPS'ed to me that day free of charge. Did not need to send back the broken piece.

As for the performance gains, I installed mine the same time as my exhaust and I could feel the difference. When mine broke I threw my old stock back in and could feel the difference.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks you guys I really appreciate it and the business.

I'm sorry to get everything so stirred up on the thread.

With 2 businesses I click on and off a thread as quickly as possible and will read the posts more closely.

Let me know how the dyno results turn out.

im happy with my demolet, im not saying its necessarely better then the jlt but I am saying the customer service has been great, the fit was pretty good and even thought the install was a bit lengthy the results were excellent in both the appearence and performance departments! I highly recommend to anyone...

And one more thing, i was looking at the install pics from stangpro.com for the CAI and noticed a couple of things:

In this pic, dont they have the air filter on the wrong end of the L pipe?

And then where in the world are they getting that little rubberband that goes around the TB? It sounds like they pulled it off the stock TB tube, which cant be right, anybody have any clue or did you have one?

This is our install article:

I'm not sure what article those earlier pics or info came from. Feel free to e-mail me if you have issues with the install.
