Need help with my new setup

Just one question - what did you use that ball peen hammer that's laying near your intake for??

Joking aside, you're going to be fine. Just track down the different vacuum hoses going from each element in the schematics posted above - when you find the vacuum hoses that aren't connected to anything, connect them to the manifold vacuum ports. Cap off any remaining manifold vacuum ports that aren't used. It'll take a while, but you'll have an intimate knowledge of your car's vacuum system.

As to the lower manifold gasket - don't worry about the RTV you put on there. Some guys put them on dry, some dab the RTV at the corners and others just toss away those gasket pieces and just use a thick bead of RTV sealant. As long as you've got your lower torqued down well, you'll be fine.

The two small lines are for the fuel pressure regulator and the other goes to the passenger side in the vacuum line bundle that has the tab tad solenoids in it, I thing it hooks to the line that goes to the egr solenoid.
 
Good, i did find the vacuum hoses but now one is too short. the one that goes from the Fuel pressure reg. to the upper manifold. Any suggestions? And the ball peen was for my head when i had a head ache........and talking about torque on the lower manifold. Um i used my air compressor to tighten them. Is that bad? I dont have a torque wrench but i can go get one and redo if I have to. I dont know the torque specs and i havent started the car yet. Waiting on a EGR spacer before i run the vehicle.

Just go to a auto parts store and pickup some vaccum line.. bring the short piece with you so you know what size OD you need or if you've deleted anything from your engine bay maybe you can reuse lines your no longer using.

Over torquing will damage the gaskets and you won't have a good seal or the gaskets will let go prematurely on you.. Rent or invest in a torque wrench and torque them to spec according to what trickflow recommends or go by the factory suggestion... also there is a certain pattern to torquing down the lower intake bolts which should be followed as well.. kinda like install lug nuts on a rim.. you don't just tighten whatever pattern you want know what im getting at now :)
 
My experience with an old car, says never use an air compressor to tighten anything on the engine. You need to feel whats going on.

I would say yes since the 94/95 stangs had the same old push rod 5L motor in them as your 89 does

also be careful with the bolts because using the air tool on them may have over torque them and you could very easily break on off while reinstalling and torque them to spec now.. happened to me and sucked major
