I'm currently seeing 5# of boost with the Vortech stock pulleys (3.33/6.87). I would like to get 10-12# of boost. I have lying around a 2.95 pulley but I'm afraid I'll overspin the blower in the 1/4 mile. Vortech states that the maximum impeller speed is 50,000 rpm's and at the end of the 1/4 mile the supercharger would be spinning at 52,817.49 rpm's. If I go with the 3.12/7 the impeller speed would be around 50884.62. Should I keep the 2.95/6.87 or go with a 3.12/7? Where can I get the 3.12/7?

5#? I would think you should be seeing more than that with a 3.33. I've seen guys run the stock 3.60 & get 8# constant.

Both the 2.95 & 3.12 will be "overspinning". The 3.12 just naturally sounds safer. What kind of boost do you want to see?

As far as getting it .... I believe ASP sells the 3.12/7.

I think your belt is slipping if you are only seeing 5. You should at least see 6 and usually closer to 7 or 8. You can add a PowerPipe and MAF which will up the boost to 11 at 6000rpms. This way you will not have to spin the blower harder.

I forgot to add in my signature the UPR Boostmaster Power Pipe. I'll be buying a tensioner for the system to see if a loose belt is the culprit for the low boost.

Your belt is def loose then. Mine was doing the same thing when I first put it on the dyno. I was only making around 360rwhp with 6psi. Tightened the belt and boom 415.

I'll be using the 2.95 pulley then. Today I bought the Mr. Freeze kit. I'll be taking the car for a dyno tune in the next two weeks. I'll let you guys know the before and after HP and TQ numbers with the Mr. Freeze...
