guys can u give me info on tire size and welds i can use for the track and street to get major tracksion

i am not sure of how to read the tire sized need for welds or were to get a good set that can be used at the track and the street

also whats the differnts from dr's and slicks and would i be better off just getting dr's over slicks with a stock rear end

just tring to cut down my 60ft from a constant 2.2-2.1 to maybe a 2.0 or 1.9

if you want to go nuts, get a set of 15" weld prostars or draglites. You can go a 15x3.5 in the front for maximum weight transfer, or you can go with like a 15x6 in the front. For the back i'd say a 15x9 and run a 275/40/15 BFG Comp T/A Drag Radial. The fronts with a 15x6 run say a 205/45/15. Do not go a full slick if this is a street driven car. A slick is hairy on the highway and overall poor streetability. Stay with a radial tire. You could also go with a Nitto DR, its all what you like. I loved my BFG's hooked the best out of them all for me.

well here is the thing i dont want to be one that changes out tires just for the track

i wanted a good wheel/tire for both street and track something on a weld
the are is used only to go back and forth to work and weekend action

so i will have the chrome bullitt deep dish rim for the nice look throught out the week and a nice tire/weld combo for the week end

so far 15" draglites with 275x40x15 bfg comp t/a dr sounds good for rear

any good online source for draglites and bfg
