ok so i was cleaning up a 351 ui just got and the guy i got it from said it has forged pistons but i dont know if they are or not.

not even sure on the brand. but here are some numbers i found on the inside of one of the skirts.

L2378F30, 55b, tz

on top of the piston it has .030 so i know its been bored but i reall want to know what kind of pistons these are. knowing my luck they are some crappy cast ones.

Well the picture does say, "Image is a representation of this part. Actual part may vary." If you put the first set of digits in summit thats what comes up, and they do day .030 over for a 351w.

Yeah, that looks like a part number for TRW forged pistons to me, for an .030 overbore.

hey josh where did you find that picture? those look real close to mine. mine has 4 of those cuts though. and that littl circle in the pic you posted is bigger. but it has the same outer dish as the ones in that picture.

I think you might have the cast units, because the circle in the pic is bigger and the color is darker, I dont know for sure though, I found that pic on google images. post some pics of yours and well compare...
