I just had my Lx painted Lambo orange metallic, I'm at a cross roads with what color I want to do the engine bay. I'm going to be getting a set of the Scott rod panels gonna weld them in and completely smooth all the holes in the engine bay, I hid the harness etc. Here's the question should I do a Semi gloss black or paint it the color of the car??? Everything is polished on the motor so I'm thinking it might be TOO much orange with the engine bay done this color....What do you's think?? opinions are welcomed!

Thanks

Here's a pic:

With a paint job like the one you got and the welding and smoothing that the bay is gonna get....you gotta paint the bay body color. Don't do it black or semi or flat..ect. It will look damn good orange!

Personally i dont think you could go wrong with either orange or black, both would look great.

side note, thats got to be the coolest shop eva! it has a mirror ball above your car!

Black. Everyone here is saying bodycolor, but you're gonna get it done and say to yourself... "Too much orange" and wish you had done it black.

My car is getting painted....but the engine bay is getting done in black Por15. It's not a show car, and when i decide to move/remount something, or i scratch the hell out of it doing headers or something like that, i can touch it up in 5 minutes with a brush and it'll be like it never happened. Plus an engine POPS with a black engine bay.

Yeah Mine is going to be more of a show/strip car that's why I went crazy polishing and hiding everything. I'm very carefull when it comes to installing parts so it might not be that bad. I do here what you're saying though, I'm almost positive it's going to get done in the orange. Thanks though for the input!
