Need Rear Tire Help Plz

I am in the market for a use Stang but have no experience with these years. I saw one of these cars the other day and the person had HUGE WIDE tires on the back, much wider than i would have figured would fit without tubs. From what i understand there are certain years of these cars which you can put very wide tires on the back without tubs, does anyone know what years of cars that is?. I like the New Edge body style best, which i think is 1999-2004?, but if the huge tires will not fit without tubs i will get a earlier year. Someone please tell me what years these big tires will fit.

94-04 can fit a 10.5/11 inch wheel with a 315 or so tire pretty easy. Pending you stay at 26 inches tall.

Lots of combo's and possibilities. The new edges seem to be just a tad easier. Most combos will require a rolled inner fender lip if you're lowered at all.

This is my '00 w/ 2002 GT drive train. No tubs. 315/35R17s. Plenty of room. You just have to get the back spacing correct.
