need some advice for a friend

ok its has been awhile since i have been on this but anyways my friend has an 02-03 gt 4.6 not sure what year but he was involved in an accident. insurance gave him money to fix it up he is going to do himself. he wrecked up the front end....

now he is looking to get the most hp out of a n/a 4.6l 2v.... what are some good mods for him?


he is thinking aluminum intake and plenum with throttle body and cold air intake
i told him longtube headers do some nice work....
possibly ported heads....

thats all i can think of the top of my head.... what are the best mods for n/a to acheive the most hp on a 4.6l 2v keep in mind using stock block.....

Longtubes, heads, and cams give the best gains N/A. CAI is practically useless.

lont tubes, ported heads with stage 2 cams, plenum with 75mm throttle bodie, if he goes with a intake manifold tell him to stay away from professional products they have serious qaulity issues one guy on here went through 2 or 3 of them before he got a good one. if he really wants a manifold try trick flow or wait for the new edelbrock one. and get a good dyno tune

where can we find the trickflow manifold?

and with these upgrades and good tune of longtubes, bigger throttle body, upper plenum, manifold, cams, ported head or other heads, pullies, timing adjuster, and a good tune what is he looking at for hp? fly and rear wheel please just an estimation...

ins gave him 8k but he wants to stay n/a wife does not want a super charger.... i would assume as less as he can bu anywhere from 4k-6k just assuming...

you get the trick flow from summit if he goes with it he wont need plenum just a good Throtle bodie the trick flow is really expensive with all those mods you could net between 300 and 330 to the wheels depending on the tune thats about average

Oh man, if I had 8k, I'd be staring at a Whipple on some forged goodies. Tell him that if she won't let him get a supercharger, that he should get twin turbos
Or at least, a nice 125 shot direct port setup.
