Need some help on a 5.0 swap.

I have a 5.0L HO engine and AOD transmission from a '91 Tbird LX. I also have a '89 Mustang Coupe which used to be a 4cylinder. The electrical system was ruined in teh coupe when it was sold to the person I bought it from.
So I have a entire wiring system from another 89 mustang with computer for a AOD.

My quesitons are as follows

1.) The engine should work perfectly fine since the firing order and rotation of the assembly is the same as a 89 5.0L Mustang.

2.) The accessory brackets for a mustang would be needed. So the transfer of the accessories (i.e the a/c, power steering and smog pump) would be easier.

3) The spindles and braking system for a 5.0 would be needed. To help support and stop the car with the extra wieght from the V8.

4.) The wiring should not be a problem since the only thing being transferred is the engine and AOD.

so what's your question? for #4, you need a v8 harness. 4 cyl harness won't work.

All so you may want to get the head light harness. On the 4cyl the atl. is on the drivers side, V8's there on the pass..

You can run the 4cyl brakes. But its best to upgrade them.

i just did a 4 cyl to v8 swap on a 90 coupe and i didnt need to change any of the wiring harness under the hood . everything plugged right in, only thing i saw that was different was the harness was a little shorter than a v8 cars would be but it did work just fine.

oh and i just did the spindels and brakes too. your gonna need struts from a v8 car. the part that bolts the spindle to the strut is smaller on the v8 and the front axle is also smaller in diameter than the 4cyl

duh, i just relized im not running an ecu. thats why i didnt have to change my harness
